ORIGINAL: xibowhunter i though about finally switching to carbon , but after some considerable thought i decide aluminum has always worked for me and " if it ain' t broke don' t fix it" Read my post called " Tried a carbon arrow for the first time..." . My old PSE Edge 1000 lefty bow is a great bow for me (I' ve only been shooting a bow for about 2 years). My bow shop set it all up for me and told me that it is set to shoot XX-75 #2315' s. So, I have quiver full of them and 125gr broadheads and field tips. A simple, basic, setup of an old PSE lefty bow at 65# and 30" draw, TM Hunter rest, donut peep, Tru-Glo 3 pin sights, an a quiver of #2315' s. Can' t get much simpler than that! It works for me and I am comfortable out to 30-35 yards repeatedly with this setup. So, I agree.... " if it ain' t broke don' t fix it" Good point! Butch |

Yes,,it could be me I shoot both but hunt with the 2312' s. The carbon' s faster for the dots, but as for durability? I shot carbon express and my alums are more sturdy than those! I had nicks and strips coming off everywhere and harder than hell to find. You really need to check them closely. At least my Alum won' t explode outta the chute if it' s a little bent and I miss it. |
