Cable Fraying????

I recently Change the cables on my 2001 Hoyt HavocTec, due to one almost being totaly frayed apart at the cable slide. When I got them changed, i had a good teflon cable slide put on. the other day while up in the tree I noticed it starting to fray again in the same place. I do wax the cables and string on a reqular basis. I don' t know if this is my problem or what?? Please Advise

Thanks For the help

Sounds like you' re doing everything right..........what string material do you use? How often do you wax?

RE: Cable Fraying????

I like to wax my bow string after shooting. Then if I haven' t touched the bow for a couple of days I will wax it just to let it know I still am thinking of it. I might wax a bit much but I have been told that you can' t over wax a string so I try to keep it fresh on the string. I also want to make sure that if mother nature wants to start raining on me that I don' t have to worry about water getting in the string. Then again when I get home I will make sure the string is dry and wax it again.
