I as well have shot both and I feel the green nocks are brighter longer and farther than the red IMHO. I shoot 100grn GrimReapers, Easton Full Metal Jackets with both NockTurnals and Lumenocks side by side in the quiver. Deer don't seem to mind the difference!!!!!!! And NM, great idea of using the dead ones for practice in place of live ones.
There is a pretty big weight difference and at 30 yards the Luminock arrows hit about 4" higher at 30 yards for me. The Nockturnals arrows were so close as to not have a noticable difference from the standard nocks. |
bronko: Never had one blow up on me (nor do I see how gluing something to the inside of a nock would cause it to blow up). However, if I don't roughen the inside of the nock sufficiently, the rod will slide out after a while. When that happens, I can hear it rattling.

I know it was a harrowing experience. I thought I destroyed my bow. |
I have been creating own for couple of years. Nothing like killing a buck just earlier even and seeing your Lighted Nocks up like ideal of achievement.
