Is anyone using this rest, or selling them at their shop? What' s the low down on it?

Neat design, I like the full capture affect, would love to hear more about it... Thanks.

I was looking at drop aways over the summer, and this rest caught my eye. I posted same question, but no one could give me a heads up on how it. Come to find out the reason was Quality Archery Designs was having problems with the molding process of the product, and it hadn' t yet been available. So I said heck with it. I placed a order the other day w/Keystone Country Store(good prices & quick service by the way). I checked on it, and they had it available now, but I wasn' t going to make a rest switch now, since hunting season has started for me. I' ll look into it next year instead, and hope in the meantime someone else will have a review on it.

I really like the concept and design, especially the full capture combined with the drop away nature. Plus, it' s less bulky looking than the Muzzy ZE...

I was concerned if it would drop fast enough to provide clearance with high fps, so I shot the company an email. Here is there response-

CONCERNING ARROW SPEED - We have no problems on our shop bow that
achieves 320 FPS. The mechanism is different than any other type of rest
and we have a performance margin that will allow for much faster arrow speeds. So, yes, we guarantee no contact.

There is no noise associated with " full draw" because the rest stays up
until fired. This is one of the greatest benefits of the Ultra-Rest...it
stays up and captivates the arrow until the bow is drawn and actually
fired. You can even draw and let down and the launcher arm stays up.

You can hear the Ultra-Rest at release if you listen for it but on the
test bows in the shop this noise does not exceed the string noise that
the bow normally makes. The bows I am mentioning are a Legacy and a
Q2...so they are among the quieter bows...

We hope this helps to clarify these issues and as always thank you for
your interest in Quality Archery Designs.

I may just have to give one of these a try after this season... Of course, I' ll have to wait to see what comes out at the AMO Show, but this one is definitely in the hunt.

Thats exactly why I found the rest to be so interesting. It keeps the arrow captured up off the shelf. You simply load an arrow, and push it into holding position. When you draw the cord brings the rest up into shooting position. If you have to let down, it simply drops the arrow back to holding position up off the shelf. If you release the arrow the rest falls all the way to the shelf for full clearance. It works both as a pull cord & inerta style rest. I also contacted the company on it this summer. Thats how I found out it wasn' t available then. I had asked them a few questions myself. 1 was the noise factor, other was how do you get your arrow out of the rest if don' t shoot it. They said the rest can also be pushed down for arrow removal.
