Limb Saver " re-mount"
 

Has anyone ever taken Limb Savers off one bow, and put them on a different bow ??.I know when you get a pack of Savers it comes with those re-ataching patches,,but do they work ??

yes, they' ll work fine. Just be sure to clean the residue of the other pads off the limb saver itself. Alcohol usually works good on rubber for that. If you run out of pads, just go to the hardware store and get 3M two sided tape. They make some thin stuff, and they make the best. I don' t think regular two sided tape will work as they are too thick.

Your saying I should clean off the " sticky" base of the Limb Saver ?.If I take my time and get a good peel off,,I would think the base would be perfect to just put the new double sided sticky " patch" on then put it on the new bow,,no ?.

If you pull the limb savers off one bow, yes, you need to completely clean the base before attaching more tape. For some reason, glue on glue doens' t work. And, if there are any small pieces of the tape left on there, you' re not getting a good bond due to air gaps. Make sure they are clean as a baby' s butt and you' ll get good adhesion with the new tape.

Thanks DANNY45,,I will be sure to do it that way.When I sell my SQ2,I' m going to keep most, if not ALL the LimbSavers I have on it.YES,,I' m the KING of " over-saver" !!.I can' t help my self.If a few work good,,well,,you get the idea [:-]

Agreed. If it' s a bow I know I' m going to keep awhile , I take them off, remove the tape from the limbsaver, clean the limb, and glue them on.

NAVY,,,What do you mean," same glue I use for carbons" ,?.Are you talking Fletch tite,,or 5 min.epoxy ??.
