Whats an 01' Mathews FX worth?

I have a 2001 mathews fx and would like to know what it is worth, the bow needs new strings and it shows signs of use, some paint chips on edges, but other than that the bow is in great shape and is fully functional and shoots a great tight groups. Does anyone know what the bare bow would be worth?

used bows more than a couple o years old don't bring much on the gen market. From what I see around hear the bow ready to go with arrows sights quiver, rest, release, case etc. go for max 200. newer bows maybe a little more anything over 5 years old the bow really looses value fast.

I agree being that old and needing strings ,cables too I assume , bare bow maybe $125 tops that being said I have an '04 fx that I would not sell for $1000 !! I LOVE THIS BOW

Unfortunately bows are a lot like used computers and do not bring much, and depreciate in value pretty quickly. That bow in the shape you are describing, and needing a set of threads; I would say if you get $125 you are doing GREAT. So maybe $75 in your pocket after all said and done.

Keep it for a backup if you have no other.

I depreciate, like business, my bows over five years

I account by then that the bow has little or no value. By then they are of little value to anyone else. But taken care of by me, still shooting, they are worth the price of not getting a new bow.
And that's their great value to me.
