Removing plastic from arrows.
I recently built my own target out of this styrofoam stuff and when i shoot it, it leaves lines of plastic on my arrows. Well the target basically go shot through in 500 shots or so and I am finally just going to break down and buy a black hole or block. Well I got most of the plastic of with a credit card, but there is still some stuff on it. If i use nail polish remover on this will it harm my arrows? Any other suggestions.

RE: Removing plastic from arrows.
What kind of arrows you shooting nuge? On aluminum, I always just carried an old dull pocket knife just for scraping off the target residue. Might try some very fine grit sand paper for carbons, but don' t get too aggressive with it.

Sorry they are carbon express terminator 4560s. The plastic is more soft so I don' t think sand paper would work, plus I don' t think I would ever be able to shoot an arrow confidently that I have sanded. I would be afraid it would explode.

I shoot CE terminator select 4560' s that I have sanded. Absolutely no problem there--just be reasonable about it.

ScotchBright is what I use. Also a great prep when re-fletching.
