PSE Drury Outdoors XS
 

I have bow hunted for several years, don't want to give away my age. I have hunted with the same set up for 8 years. Convinced myself time to up grade. I have hunted with a Keller sight probably since they came out. I have bought a PSE Drury Outdoors Edition XS. I had a Toxonics 3 pin sight installed along with an Alpine Soft Lok quiver with a Kwikee quiver extender to not allow the arrows to extend beyond the cam. I haven't decided on a rest. QAD, Trophy Ridge Drop Away, or the Bisquit. Anyone give me any reviews/thoughts on the XS ? The pin sight is going to take some getting used to, since swappin from the Keller. Any thoughts ?

i'd go with the whisker biscuit. simple and effective. there are no moving parts, no mechanical failure.Many people use both types of rests. People say the drop aways tighten there groups. one thing that i dont like about the biscuit is that when hunting in sub freezing temps it makes a lot of noise for me.

Hunting here in North West Tn. And Westrn Ky. The temps won't be an issue. Was kinda leaning that way. Thanks

IMO the QAD hunter is a super rest, Ive shot bot QAD's and W.B. and prefer the QAD. My reason is that with the QAD there is no rest contact after the arrow leaves the release if properly adjusted. it's on that rest just long enough to get it going in the right direction then its job is done and its gone. The W.B. tore my flechings and made noise drawing and got wore down and lost support in the middle. Just my two cents worth here, but hey you asked LOL:wave:

IMO both the Trophy Taker and NAP drop away rests are the way to go. My personal favorite is the NAP Apache. It's built like a tank. Solid, easily tunable, quiet, fast and fairly easy to install. Once I bought my first one and tried it, I bought 2 more for my other bows. I too have used the WB and it worked. But it is rough on fletching.
Another good rest is the Ripcord drop away.

My pro shop guy has also recommended the QAD Hunter Rest. He is a PSE dealer and is going to install the QAD and give me a deal on the installation and tuning. Don't think I can pass up the deal, so I'll let you guy's know. I really appreciate the input.

Well, my pro shop guy, prefers the QAD as I have stated before. So, he wanted me to shoot at his open range before we did anything. We are good friends, he has a full time job, with a munincipal police dept. and I work for the county Sheriff's dept. with the shifts he works, he spends more time in his shop, and travels every year to South Dakota to chase whitetails, so he shoots consistently at 70yrds. His range is set with Mckenzie Targets from 20 to 70yrds. I shot the Whisker Bisquit, consistent out to 40yrds. Even though he prefers the QAD, he suggested I stick with the set up. We chronographed the bow at 15yrds out, at 292. He then strongly suggested I stick with the set up. So, here we go.
