Bowtechs...

I might be getting a Bowtech in the next few months, either an Extreme VFT or a Pat Dually and I was wondering what the speed would be out of either of these bows at 28" /55#? Also, which of the 2 would you reccomend? Thanks,

Timba

I am getting 275 out of my Pat Dually thats with a 375gr arrow the string is loaded with Peep, cats whiskers.string loop and magnock reciever.
The bow was set at 60# when I crono' d it since then I have tweeked the bow some and it is now set on 63#.

As for which one would be best suited to you I dont know it is up to you to decide go and shoot them side by side and pick the one that feels the best to you.

Good advice!

Make sure that the two are of the same draw length and weight when comparing. when I was shopping for a new bow I shot everything I could get my stinkin hands on.

I' m guessing you' ll be in the low 260s ballpark.

I like both bows really, but I think w/ the Pat DC' s extra inch and a quarter brace height, and slighly less reflex riser it will be the more forgiving bow for most archers. However, The VFT shooters are not finding them hard to shoot at all w/ the low brace height.

A fellow I helped out bought a 28" DC PAT from the shop a few months ago and over on ArcheryTalk he posted he was getting a speed of 269 FPS w/ a 374 grain arrow @ 56 pounds. I was not there when he picked up the bow, so I' m not sure what he has on the string.

Shoot ' em both and decide what will work better for you. :D

Both great bows! Both fast bows......plenty fast! The best advice is just what the guys are saying, shoot them both and the decision will be easy! I have shot both of these bows and I tended to like the Extreme VFT.

Good Luck!

Just got my Patriot dually, at 60lbs. with a 27 1/2 draw, shooting a 511 grns arrow, I' m getting 236. The bow is an arrow stacker.

an important point is that on the VFT you will be able to adjust the let-off and the dually pat you are left with 65%. Each bow is great just pick one and feel that is was the right dissision and you will be happy.
