RE: ARROW ACCURACY

That may all depend on your application.

Are you shooting outdoor field spots out to 80yds in high level competition, or any other sort of scenario like that(3D, FITA)?

Or do you just care about putting all shots in a 6" circle out to 30yds for bowhunting?

For some, that .001" tolerance may mean a lot. For bowhunting out to 30yds or so, I don't think it matters much. If you want to spend the extra cash on that sort of thing- then you'll have the peace of mind knowing that your arrows are tight toleranced when they are heading to your deer 22yds away.

I do spend time and money on my target arrows where I need all the help I can for accuracy and CONSISTENCY from arrow-to-arrow.

Best of luck-

I think you could shoot a .006 and still do what you want to do but just to be safe, I use at least the .003 and better. Makes me feel better even if they don't shoot that much better than the .006's.

RE: ARROW ACCURACY

For Fita, most of the competitor's I know shoot, ACC, or ACE/X10. These arrow's are shot at 90 metre's, basic 10 spot is a softball, maybe a little larger in size. The fact is, these are alumunum carbon composites, which mean's they will bend, and the carbon breaks down much quicker. There straightness's are usaully .003. Now say you are shooting a full carbon arrow. Straightness is consitently .005 +/- .0001. You have no worries of the full carbon arrow bending, and the arrow's are usaully built by rapping the carbon several times, so your arrow's are extremely strong and resistant to break down. Accuracy wise in the long run, it would be my thought that the .005 full carbon's are going to be the more accurate arrow. But if you have a full carbon with .003-.001 then this is going to be one of straightest arrows in the world and will be very accurate, with no bend's and high resistance to break down. That's my thoughts on straightness and accuracy.
