Stealth Stab

Hey everybody.... i was just wondering what everyone thinks of Stealth Stabs? I am thinking about one for my new VFT or Patriot Dually when I get it. Is anyone shooting a Stealth with either of these bows? Also, what kind of warranty does Stealth have? Thanks,

Timba

Timba,
I have sold several 6 & 8 inch Stealth hunter stabilizers to guys shooting the bows you mentioned and they have reported back that both balance these bows very nicely!
Stealth will stand behind the product 100%,against any flaws or failures due to manufacturing......so unless you were to use it to drive nails while building a permanent tree stand(ha,ha)you are covered as far as warranty!

Thanks,
Jerry

RE: Stealth Stab

Timba,
I have an 8" Hunter on my Patriot Dually and my buddy Frank has a 6" on his Patriot Dually.
We are both shooting fairly light Copper John " Dead Nuts" sights, and truth be told Franks has a little better neutral balance........his doesn' t tip forward or backward when held for balance and holds very nicely.
I chose the 8" because I like just a bit more more mass weight and length for added stability at the shot.........for me I get just a slow forward tumble. Nothing pronounced. (I like a 12" for my 3D bow)
A stabilizer IMO should do exactly what the name implies.........STABILIZE your bow before during and after the shot. They should perform more of a function than just a noise/vibration accessory.
Both perform better than anything I' ve tried with regards to noise, vibration reduction..........but they also stabilize your aim, and reduce recoil after the arrow is gone. They really tame these high performance bows, and they love Dual, and Cam and Half/ CPS style cam systems.

Its easy to recommend these from a performance standpoint, but balance and feel is a personal thing........my advice is (since I do have experience with that exact model) if you want a " neutral balance" the 6" will probably be better when used with most average sight and rest choices.
If you like a bit more heft and aiming stability the 8" might be a better choice.
One nice thing built in to think about as well..........these stabilizers are dual chambered and the weight distribution is 60/40 with the 60 out front. If you find the model you chose to be a little too heavy out front, you can swap the stud to the front and and use it backwards, bringing the majority of the weight tighter to the riser.

Stealth stabilizers are as good as it gets IMO performance wise.........the trick is just finding the right length and weight to suit your tastes. I hope this helps.

Matt and/or Stealthman, is the vibration dampening qualities of the stealth compromised if you swap ends to get the weight back against the bow?

I' d hate to think there was something I could tinker with but haven' t yet :)

I have a Stealth Hunter 4" - 6.4 oz. on my Pat SC in the rear hole and still need more weight, top wants to roll forward. How much weight do you need on this bow to balance? I would think maybe a 5" would be the max on length. Thanks

The performance of the Stealth stabilizer will not change no matter which end you choose to mount from!
Have a great hunt!
