NAP2000 Drop away
Don' t know how many of you have this rest, but I have it, and didn' t like it. It is kinda of loud and it doesn' t drop away fast enough. Also some times when you draw it bounces the arrow off the rest from the arms coming up to fast. Have any of you experienced this yourself. I put my whisker biscuit back on today and will probably stick with it.

RE: NAP2000 Drop away
I have the same rest and if set up propery it drops away every time. Not once has a vane come into cntact with the rest. Also have never had an arrow bounce off the rest.
Do you have the rest set so that it' s coming up right when you reach full draw? If your rest is set so that it is pulled up before it' s suppose to you might have these problems. |
RE: NAP2000 Drop away
I tried a QT 2000 RG for about 5 minutes and took it off in favor of a WB quick shot deluxe.
I thought it was kind of loud also and added some vibration to my bow. And it was too short (compared to a WB), which was going to require me to buy all new arrows. |
RE: NAP2000 Drop away
I' ve had the QT2000 on my bow for over a year with ZERO problems. I love it. If you are ready to throw it away, just throw it my way and I will put it on my other bow. Sounds like you could have it lifting too soon.

RE: NAP2000 Drop away
I agree, I had the QT 2000, loved it, sold it and bought the QT 4000. I shoot it on a Cybertec and have no problems. Yes, I did have to fine tune it to get it just right, but I had the QT 4000 on my bow since last July, all through hunting season, killed a nice 10 ptr with it and numerous 3D tourny' s and it hasn' t skipped a beat.
What I love out it the most is the fact that besides the Zero Effect and Mirage, I dont think there is a better containment system out there. No worries last season with the arrow coming off the rest. Its a great hunting rest. |
RE: NAP2000 Drop away
I bought the NAP 2000 dropaway for my new bow. It' s worked great for me as well. NO fletching contact problems at all. Straight, offset, hard right/left helicals, cock vane up or down, 4" or 5" vanes--doesn' t matter at all.

RE: NAP2000 Drop away
I' m a QT 4000 user and have NEVER had one problem with it. The setup was simple, fast, and efficient. I was grouping after some minor tweaking. I can' t afford to shoot more than one arrow at a spot at a time. New arrows are expensive.

RE: NAP2000 Drop away
Thanks for the tips. I think I will give it another shot. It probably was coming up to fast. Didn' t even think to look at that cuz a archery shop set it up.

RE: NAP2000 Drop away
I' m a stickler for following directions to the letter. Make sure that you follow the directions and you should have NO problems. [Don' t skip ONE step].
