OK, still doing my comparison search...I' ve heard all the positive about MZE so all I want on this post is the good and bad (problems you' ve had etc) of the Trophy Taker rest. ONLY from people that use or have used them please.

Most accurate rest I have shot with.Nice helical fletch and fixed blade broadheads are grouping great.I am getting a little noise when the rest hits the stop.Gonna try and work on that a little.Overall very satisfied.

being shooting with the trophytaker rest now for 12months and i' ll never use another type of rest ,i was using a golden preimer before the trophytaker had good arrow flight with broadheads but i think the trophytaker makes for a more fogiving outfit...matt

Just took my Trophy Taker off my bow. I couldnt get my vanes to clear and get god flight at the same time. If the vanes cleared, the arrows flew erradic and groups suffered. When I tuned the bow to shoot and group well the vanes still hit, maybe just me but I wasnt impressed at all, I put my Muzzy right back on and it works perfectly.

I also forgot that with the TT rest my arrow wouldnt stay on the shelf, and the tiny foam trough didnt stick well either. I might get half drawn and the arrow would fall off to one side[:@]

I had a similar experience with the Trophy Taker. I tried it on 2 bows. One bow I could not get tuned correctly. This was with Nitro Traditional tapered arrows. Arrows flew tail right no matter where I moved the rest or nocking point. These arrows are pretty stiff, and not specifically spined for one range of bow weight.:(

The second bow worked better, but I was getting some fletch contact. Because I was using feathers, it didn' t seem to affect the grouping too much though. I did build up a arrow holder of sorts as per the instructions on the video tape. It worked well. I did not have any problem with the arrow not being picked up properly, even when canting the bow at about a 45 degree angle.:)

I also tried the Muzzy on yet another bow, and would have to say that functionally, the rest was better and more reliable than the Trophy Taker. (no shelf or contact problems)

I did not see a significant improvement in grouping or broadhead accuracy with either of these drop aways. Just my experience.

I' ve had the TT Shakey Hunter on my FX & Q2
the last 12 months and absolutely love it. Put
one on my new Patriot SC and with a little fine
tuning I was shooting bullet holes through paper...
...something I' ve not done too often.

I was a little worried about the durability of the
rest when I first bought it...definitely not a problem.
I' ve drug my bows through cactus in Az. and
some of the thickest multifloral rose patches
here in Iowa, never let me down once;)[:-].

I originally switched to the fall-away rest, because
I could not use helical with my QT shoot-thru,
just couldn' t get good clearance[:@].

I have a TT on both of my bows and I like them. They are easy to tune and very durable from what I have put them through.
