Which bowstring wax to buy...

Getting ready to place an order for some goodies :) , figured I might as well get some string/cable wax.

Only two choices offered where I plan to purchase are both Bohning, on is Seal-Tite which says it' s silicone based, the other is Tex-Tite which says it' s specialy formulated for synthetic strings.

My strings and Cable are 450+, I think. Which wax should I get? Does it make a difference?

I haven' t used the Seal Tite, but I' ve got something that sounds similar. It' s Black Lightning wax from Pro Release. This stuff is impregnated with graphite and silicone. They' ve got White Lightning too that' s just silicone impregnated. Anyway, this stuff is slick - literally! I especially like to use it on the cables. Slicks ' em up good sliding through the cable slide. I like to use it on my end servings where they contact the cams to keep serving wear down. I even rub some into my shootin' tab to keep it slicked up.

If the Seal Tite is anything like this stuff, I think you' d like it.

I still use regular ol' TexTite on the string though. Seems to last longer. Cover your bases and get both!

I have used Bohing ' Tex-Tite for a long time and wouldn' t trust my Mathews FX to anything else. I' m on my third season with the same string and it is still in great condition.
