Best Choice 100 grain or 125 grain

I am looking for advice or opinion on broadhead weight.

I am shooting a Hoty Vortec with XL 2000 limbs, draw weight is measured at about 72 pounds. I am shooting Easton 2315 XX78 arrows. I have recycled the arrows from another bow that had a longer draw length. I cut the arrows down to 29" and was wondering if the 125 grain broadheads were too much or if I should move down to 100 grain for the spine of the arrow and gain a little more speed. I am going out west and expecting the possiblity of a shot that is at least 30 yds. (please save your opinion on distance). I believe that you gain about 1 fps for every 5 grain reduction, but really was more concerned about having the proper spine on the arrow with the right broadhead. Thanks for any help you can offer!

Yea you are a bit weak there on spine.

I would not shoot 125grn out of that setup.

75grn is better for spine but....If you are using large vanes your FOC will be low.

Paper tune with both weights and then shoot some broadhead groups with heads of both weights to see which flys the best. Most likely the 100 grn heads heads will shoot the best, but you never know until you try. If I were to start with one size first I would go with 100 grns and see how that worked out.
