I shoot mechanical broadheads and haven't noticed a difference with blazers vs standard 4" vanes, if that at all concerns you.

I have shot all kinds of different vanes and the best that I have found is the blazer vanes. They shoot awesome and have never had them come off of my arrow.

I used to be a big fan of feathers until I started shooting and hunting in rain.....as mentioned above they get soaked and ruin flight (yes I've used the waterproofing powder with good results but was just too much to deal with when traveling). After shooting (feather fletched arrows) with a buddy that was shooting vanes at a 3d shoot in the rain, I decided to start trying some vanes. I tried several types of vanes when trying to decide what brand to go with and finally settled on the 4" Quikspins -- this was before the shorter high profile craze started. They shot the best for me and as advertised they did tighten my groups, I have also shot them when my bow hasn't been tuned the best and they seem to help overcome the effects of a slightly out of tune bow. As far as the Quikfletch vs fletching your own Quikspins I still do both. A lot depends on available time and type of look I'm going for with my arrows. If I have lots of time and want to customize my arrows I'll use my Bitz jig to fletch them up how I want. On the other hand, if I'm leaving on a trip and need to refletch some arrows quickly it's hard to beat doing a dozen arrows in less than 10 minutes!!! BTW, I haven't noticed any difference in flight between the two methods.

I tried a lot of vanes and I went with 2" Blazers fletched with the E-Z Mini. Works great and puts a really nice helical on them. Dead accurate out to 60 yds for me. No complaint's from the animals so far..

I used nap quick spin st's, then tried the shrink wrap nap st's and they grouped together!
