I need to change...need advice!!!

I have used the typical peep with rubber tubing for alignment all my life. I have found the rubber is breaking and slipping off the peep quite a bit lately (I' m worried it will break/slip at the wrong time). What do you guys use? I have a zebra string and have tried to take the rubber tubing off, but it ALWAYS seems to rotate my peep[:@]. I know it' s not supposed to after you stretch the string, but it did, so that' s not an option with me. Plus anytime one of my string leetches comes off or on ot rotates a bit. I was burned once with a turned peep in the field so I need something different and fool proof, is a string loop the best way to go here? How about some of those nocks that align? Any help would be appreciated...JDinAB

Maybe take a look at the " No-Peep" system. It' s made in Michigan Some guiys swear by them, some guys hate them, but it may be an option for you.

Personally, I went No Peep and will never ever ever go back to a peep. Ever.

But, a peep aligning SpeedNok may work well for you if you are shooting off the string anyway. Some guys say a loop will work, but I never had complete confidence in it doing so.

Seriously, if you are talking about a hunting bow, in my opinion the No peep is where it' s at.

If you can afford the extra length of a string loop ........try a Tru-peep and a string loop. Have your string twisted to where your peep lines up perfectly when you draw back with the loop and you should be set until you need a new string ! You will also be amazed at how much quieter your bow will be and you' ll pick up about 6 fps or more !!

For hunting purposes (close range = 0 to 50 yards), learn to shoot without a peep. Using just a kisser or an anchor-knot to establish a consistent anchor, you can shoot tight groups and be just as accurate, regardless what anyone tells you.

Once you learn to shoot without a peep -and you can, you will never go back to a peep or use any other device between your aiming eye and your pin.

I use a shurtz peep, and my bow also has a twisted string. After many shots for stretching at home. I attached a tru-ball peep aligner, with string loop. My peep is lined up every shot since. One of my first bows had the stretch tubing style peep. I eliminated that for a few reasons. 1 it broke, and I got snapped in the face, it wore, and stretched so didn' t align same over time, and had to be replaced. The tubing makes noise upon release.

No sights, no peep, no problems. :)

Barebow is the only way to go for hunting. It' s just not very popular with the pro shops and sights manufacturers. [&:]

I actually started with no peep or sights, just a little recurve and shot pretty good. Thanks for all the comments, I' m gonna try some of your ideas and see if any work for me....JDinAB
