NAP 4000 drop away ??
 

I am getting ready to set up my bowtech extreme vft and was looking at this rest but don' t see much said about them. Do any of you have anything good or bad either way to say about this rest? Feel free to throw out suggestions for other good drop away rests.The only one I will not consider is the muzzy. Thanks

I can' t tell you about the 4000 drop away, but, I have the 3000 Micro which is the non-drop away version of the 4000. It uses the same tuning adjustments and rest area, just without the drop away feature.

I absolutely love my rest, it is incredibly easy to adjust and tune, along with great overall performance.

The 4000 should be a killer. Micro adjustment on a drop away rest with N.A.P. quality....... sounds like the top of the line.

The 4000 is sounding so good that I have been considering picking one up and trying it out.

Troy, I' ve had the 4000s on all my BowTechs since they came out. I' m completely satisfied with them, and have had no problems. On your bow:
Draw it back & have someone mark the cable rod at the back of the slide at full draw.
Adjust the lifting cable so the launchers are just fully raised at this point. Otherwise the cables will bind.
Start center shot 3/4" , measured from the riser to the center of the arrow.
Start nock point 3/16" high.
Adjust the rest to raise the arrow level with the rest mounting holes.
Put something on the shelf to allow the rest to contact it as a stop. Don' t use the rubber guide that comes with the rest. I also put mole skin on the shelf for noise.
If the cable contacets the arrow you can put a twist in it to stop the contact.
Now tune & shoot. Good luck.

I use the rubber arrow holder with mine and find that unless I am standing on my head . . . it works great. As for the rest itself it is super great ad easy to set up.

Thanks for the replies. It sounds like this will be the rest I am going to buy and I allready have my spot hogg bolted on just waiting for thursday and my paycheck for the rest:)

For $50.00 you can get a GKF TKO drop away from EDERS bow. It is the very best deal in a drop away. L/R drop away or conventinal. It does it all. :D

I think the NAP 4000 is a fine choice. However, you might take a look at the GKF Mirage drop-away. It' s a bit harder to adjust, but I like the way it picks up the arrow for hunting and you definately don' t have to worry about the arrow falling off the rest.

I have mine on a VFT as well, and I love it.
