Bowtech ?

Thinking about picking up a used bowtech or a diamond maybe. Which models should I look for and which ones should i stay away from. Thanks in advance.

i tell u what im a big bowtech fan and i was at cabelas in wheeling WV last night shooting some of the new bows, and they brought out the new diamond ice storm a cabelas exclusive bow, that looks exactly like the black ice, one of diamonds best selling bows ever, same cam, same limbs, simular risor, same grip, it shoot great, and the complete package (tru glo 5 pin sight, wb rest, diamond stab., quiver) was $599, thats a heck of a deal seeing how the black ice is $649 bare bow

Had alot of good bowtech's, lots of bad. Best one I had was a bowtech commander. Worst one was an allegience. Second worse for me was a guardian. Ok one was a liberty. I have a sentinel now, and say the commander was better.

I'm partial to the Guardian, but think that most any will serve you well as long as you dont get a General without the updated limbs on it.

I realy liked my 06 Tribute! That one would be on the top of my to have list of Bowtechs!

I shoot the General.A while back it was their top bow but there was a problem with the original limbs failing. They fixed it but these days that's the kiss of death so they discontinued them.Mine was a leftover 08 and came with the limb upgrade.I like it a lot.You can score some great deals on leftover bows and even better deals on discontinued models. They'll be just a smidge behind the latest, greatest new bows.

Shoot them all and buy the one that fits your needs.

Ok here's another question. What would be my best option, new or used, for $400 bare bow. Brand doesn't matter.

Id go with the guardian. You could easily find one on Archerytalk for less than 400 and they are really good all around bows... My experience was great with mine anyways.... and they have a pretty big following as one of the better all around bows in the last few years.

They are super quiet, plenty fast, and are pretty easy to shoot. Nice draw cycle imo.
