Figured you guys would be the best to ask. My friend just opened an archery shop and was looking to get an assortment of axels for different bows. Does anyone know where he could get a kit or assortment? Thanks.

I am not a current shop owner, but it used to be that you could buy " generic" parts kits from most distributors like Kinseys.

That being said, most manufacturers also will sell " commonly used parts" kits. Different manufacturers use different axle lengths & grades, sizes of E-clips, axle spindles, bushings, limb pivots/rockers, etc. He should check with the bow manufacturers whose products he is selling.

Thanks Jeff. He got an assorted kit from the shop we used to help at that closed but it has been depleted. He looked through Kinseys, Jakes and I think another but couldn' t find anything listed. Will look again plus check in with PSE.

Apple Archery used to sell some nice parts kits. I don' t remember if they have axles in them but they had allot of other parts that come in handy when working on bows.

For axles, I would say you' ll probably have to contact each bow manufacturer since many bows have varying axle lengths from one manufacturer to another.

Just a thought...

Ditto on what BowTech_Shooter said. General hardware is standard, but axles are specific even within a particular manufacturer. In desparation, we have used slightly longer axles and shimmed them on the outside to get a customer out of trouble.
