muzzy drop away?
anyone shoot the muzzy zero effect?
|
Muzzy makes a lot of good stuff but I wouldn't hit a hog in the arse with a zero effect. There are a whole lot better rests out there that are much easier to set up and tune properly.
|
I had one, but gave it away.. I didn't like it.

Here's an old post of mine about my first experience with a Muzzy Zero Effect...
http://huntingnet.com/forum/bowhunti...fect-rest.html |
IMO, it was the best "hunting"rest I ever used. I had 3 of em on different bows. Bad news is when the beyond parrellel bows came out with very little cable slide, they became difficult to use or impoossible. You had to had have cable slide movement. Worked great with reflex deflex design.
I see they have a new one out and am interested, but lots of moving parts. |
I have never heard of it.
|
I have used this muzzy rest on multiple bows for the past 6/7 years. I think it is a great hunting rest that is very durable and consistent in a lot of different weather conditions. I have tried others that work well too, but I just keep coming back to the muzzy.
|
I tried one several years ago, it worked ok but I had a hard time getting fletching clearance. The set-up was cumbersome, the rest itself was bulky and in the way.
Forget all the new crap, buy something that is proven. Trophy Taker or QAD Pro HD. Tyler |
Check out the Ripcord Code Red drop away! It's a great rest: easy to install, fast drop, easy adjustments, easy to tune with, quiet, reliable.
|
I agree the Ripcord is easy to install and set up. But so is the new NAP Apache rest - and it has toolless adjustment knobs.
