Best bowstring material
Anyone have thought on what is the best bowstring material? Seems like there are lots of choices such as Xcel, 452, 452X, Ultra Cam, 8125, D75, D75thin, Fast Flight, Astro Flight. and more If you were putting a string on your bow, what material would you want to use? Obviously you want speed, low stretch and long life.

A well made string out of 452X is my #1 choice. I have had a number of them and if the string is put together correctly they are stable for many years.
On my hunting bow I currently have one of the Vapor Trail strings made out of their VTX material. That also has been extremely stable.
I personally don't like 8125. I have had a couple of strings made from it and while fast, they don't seem to stay in place when they get hot (i.e. 90 degree heat, not left inside a car on a hot summer day hot).

I ended up going to the local archery shop and they made a string and cable set for me and they used 452X. Seems to be working well so far. Thanks for the input.
Doing a little research it looks like Bowtech and a number of other bow makers also use 452X so it must be pretty good.
