RE: ??forbowtech shooters
You can still buy a winners choice string for any Bowtech bow. They no longer have a contract with Bowtech to supply stock strings, but if you order from WC they will make you one.:)

RE: ??forbowtech shooters
Stone Mountain,Bowman custom strings are both really good and just as good if not better than WC plus for a lot less money.

RE: ??forbowtech shooters
I don' t think Stone Mountain strings and cables are as" good or better" then Winners Choice. In fact, most everyone in our area that has bought 2003 Bowtech bows are replacing the " imitation" strings with Winners Choice.Bowtech made a BAD decision to change their strings with Stone Mountain products.[X(]

RE: ??forbowtech shooters
Well Ken.
My Pat Dually has close to 15k shots through it and so sign of string wear the servings are as good as the day I got the bow and after the shoot in period I had to put 1 twist in the string. My Pro 40 Dually as yet has not had to have a twist put in the string and I have close to 5k shots through it with no sign of wear at all. Last year on the other hand with the WC string on my 02 Pat I had to reserve both string and cable after 2k shots. |
RE: ??forbowtech shooters
I don' t think BowTech decided to end the contract. There were circumstances surrounding the decision. The O2 strings are of very high quality. What other manufacturer has top quality strings (ones people don' t complain about)? The strings on my P40 & Pat Duallys are holding up fine. I' ve twisted them once on the Pat, & twice on the P40. The peeps are staying fine, and timing/synch are not a problem. I' m in " the area" and still using the original strings.;) What' s funny is no-one would care about the string ordeal (there wouldn' t be one) had BowTech never used Winners Choice in the first place.
Now to answer the original question. Winners Choice will make strings for BowTech' s bows. But you can get the Bowman or Stone Mountain for allot less. Quality is very good with any of these companies. |
RE: ??forbowtech shooters
I would like to also offer that I experienced no problems whatsoever with the Stone Mountain strings on my Patriot DC. Synch and timing changed very little over the time that I was shooting the bow. Definitely not enough to be concerned about.
