under spined?

? i think i may have misunderstood you, the arrows came at 31 1/8" with inserts. i'm going to cut the arrows myself with a drimel tool with composite blade to 29" and do the inserts, thats why i asked if 29" would still be close to under spined. i've been shooting the arrows to long. i just didn't want them to be to short. i'm shooting a whisker biscuit rest that gives me a lot of room to adjust the length. i could get away with cutting them to 28". i guess i'm trying to figure out which would be best, shorter arrow with heavier broadhead or lighter broadhead longer arrow. without having to little foc. bow is set at 29" draw. and the arrows as of now are an inch past the riser
Being as you are cutting the arrows yourself you could cut one or two and see what happens. Like measure your inserts for length. Say that they are 1" long, for instance. Cut two arrows to 29" and try tuning them. If they show a little weak then cut them off right behind the inserts to 28" and try again. Worst thing this can cost you is the price of a couple new inserts. At 28" or less you should be able to make those arrows work with either point.

Good advice. I was acting on the assumption that your bow is set for a 29" draw and you are using a Whisker Bisquit rest. This is probably set up near the back side of the riser so you should almost be able to chop arrows down to 27" if necessary, although it should be necessary. Try to keep your arrows long enough that there's about 1" in front of the rest, just for safety sake.

yeah 28" or 28 1/2" is about as short as i would dare to go. i do have an inch or so behind the riser before the rest i figure i have 3 or 4 inch's to work with. thanks for the input from all of u. now does anyone know of a good single pin or tunable pendulum sight?
