I lost my level on my sight, should I replace it?

I've lost my level on my Vital Gear sight. How important do you believe it is?

I ALWAYS take them off, I feel they are distracting, when I'm looking through my sight my eye always wanders to it, and I think its to hard to look at both. I haven't had one on my MagCat since i bought it and I shoot stupid tight groups at 35yds, I don't ever shoot farther than that because I don't feel comfy.

Did you use it before you lost it? Is your shooting suffering since you lost it? Anwswer those and you'll answer your question.

I'd say you can probably save your five bucks...........

Mine fell off Copper John...killed deer next time out after it came off! Don't guess I needed it. Didn't notice it before and hadn't thought about it till I saw this!

Think about it this way, a four foot level is better than a two foot level and a two foot is better than a six inch level the level on your sight is no more than an inch. Honestly how good is it? You can tell when you bow is tilted, this should all be part of the form check before letting an arrow fly!

Worthless in my book, you arent missing anything without it.

You will find out how important a level is if you ever have to shoot across a hillside or on uneven ground.

One of the 3D courses I shoot has some pretty steep cross hill shots. When you draw and get anchored looking at the level really gives you some perspective on how your eyes are not relaible for ensuring your bow is vertical.

Cant your bow a little one way or the other and your shot will not go where you think it will.

I use my level all of the time when setting up to shoot. If I have to draw and shoot and don't have time to look at the level then I am probably trying to make I shot I shouldn't take to begin with.

It only takes a split second to look at the level and it can save your bacon from making a bad shot.

agreed with 98, I always use my level, especially since I mostly hunt in mountainous terrain.
