This is a topic for all of you techies!!!!

Ok, I was over in the PSE forum, Seem's It's way to easy for me to start arguments on forums, I followed a topic about peoples complaints about a review in Pearson's Bowhunting magazine. Something about Colours, and such, misstyping blah blah blah, I say everybody makes mistakes.
So I decided to do a little bow report on the Nitro myself, I didn't put the bow down I simply said, its not my type of bow I would like to shoot, with such a low braceheight and and shorter ATA and single cam. Well as always, my foolish big yap dropped a bomb. I always figured I was easy going most of the time.(This is a message to anyone who has somethingto say about a product. Don't say anything about that product on a forum for that product, or anything remotely not good).
Now I have alot of PSE fans breathing down my neck, hey I used to shoot PSE I found nothing wrong with them, I just don't like the Nitro.
Ok enough going on and on. If anyone has shot the NITRO, say LEN, PINWHEEL, anyone. What was your first thought on the bow.? Do you find it forgiving, like a deflex riser, 8" brace height?? ect. For preformance bow's what are you looking for? SPEED,forgivness ect???
Thanks for any info. Im not going to say anything bad about anymore PSE's or any bow. I really have no bad feelings for any company.
Just like some better then others.
Good shooting.
Dylan

That forum is just a place for people to line up and kiss Pete Shepley's butt, and for his kid little Johnny to act like a big shot living on daddy's accomplishments.

55#,

Don't know much about the Nitro. I shoot a NOVA.

I go to the PSE forum also. It has some good info there. 500FPS is kinda right....if you ever notice when one of the monitors says somthing, someone will alway say "good one....." or something...I just laugh!

It doesn't take much for people to get all bent out of shape.Another fact is some people get to offended by the opinions of others.
Don't ever be afraid to give your opinion even if it is one that no one wants to hear.
These debates will go on forever as long as there are more than one type of any certain equipment.

I cannot say anything bad about the "upper-end" PSE bows other than I wish they'd take more time on the QC (quality control) end of things. I've run into a few problems with things not put together correctly or "pet-peeve" things like missing shims. Other than that and the fact that their low-end limbs are virtually the same as the upper-end, they are basically a good product.

I have not bothered with the site because I knew what it would be like, the same as any other that is basically promoting their stuff. Can't blame them, it's good marketing skills at work. Good shooting, Pinwheel 12

500 fps,

Don't hold anything back....tell us how you really feel....

My sentiments on the issue would pretty much mirror Pinwheel's down to the "missing shims and the low end limbs"...I couldn't have said it better myself. I have popped in there a few times myself and found some good informative threads and some "bad" threads....I didn't think it was too much different than the other forums I visit...but then again, I was only there twice...

I have no experience with the Nitro...but if it has a low brace height (less than 6.5-7 inches) then it wouldn't be hanging in my basement...

I've heard a few stories like Arthurs and they too were from about that same time period.I'd have to agree that if I had a bow come apart on me like that, I'd not trust them anymore. I'd probably flinch everytime someone even shot one around me! Sorry to hear about the scar Art.
What 500 fps said about lining up to kiss Shepley's butt is too funny.

I should have qualified my previous statements by saying that, despite any personality conflicts with certain members of management, I have shot PSE since 1986 and haven't had the first problem with any of their equipment, and that includes about 15 different bows.

But, if someone is going to be an arrogant #rick, at least let it be about something they've done themselves.

I go to the PSE forum, but don't really post too much. It just seems like a big PSE add to me. I know some of the others from other boards and they are good guys. But that board does get to be a bit much for me. I have posted with my opinions on PSE products before and not got hammered for it though. For the most part the people are polite. I don't really care for PSE bows or thier arrows. Just don't like the way the bows feel. The arrow seem like quality arrows, just too light for me.

Hey Guys,
I am from the PSE forum and I won't go into detail about the bow report but it did get out of hand quickly. We do have some people complain and what happens is the dealer usually puts it off on the factory and most of the time, they are wrong. PSE is not for everyone, just like some people like Fords while others like Chevys or Dodges or others. I am just anxious to help these archers get their equipment they paid so much for fixed and going again despite some really problem dealers some times. I appreciate this not becoming a bashing incident and I am sorry the bow report post on the PSE site got out of hand. By the way, I am new to this forum and am real impressed so far. Alot of knowledge and I like all the different topics that the PSE site does not have.

Ausie-guy is right...LOL. I try not to bash any bow. It seems like Mathews get ragged on the most and gets praised the most...LOL. Just love the bow that you shoot and dont worry about the rest. If you wouldnt shoot it than dont talk about it. Thats the way I feel. I only talk about bows that I might be interested in or have a question about.

RE: This is a topic for all of you techies!!!!

I didn't want it to get out of hand, it all started with the Pearsons Bowhunting report, It was about the colour of the bow, the Magazine was in fact right, the PSE fan's seemed quite annoyed even though there was nothing wrong with the report. My report was my own personal opinion, it didn't nor shouldn't have been taken to heart, I wasn't tossing my idea's around claiming it was the gosspel. Maybe I haven't shot the bow, but I haven't shot alot of bow's. One thing I do know, is I know what I like for archery equipment, if I make an opinion, which is only my opinion no one elses to take to heart or even think about for that matter. It all comes down to this.( If you express your opinion on a bow, in a forum for the that companies shooters, and you don't say the most wonderful things about the equipment, there is going to be a bias attitude comming back in response. It got out of hand and that was my bad! Like I said about the editor for Bowhunting magazing, and PSE's catalogue editors, everyone makes mistakes. Unless we are computers or robots, there is always going to be an opinion on things, and mistakes will be made.
Good shooting
Dylan

I was raised with the attitude that if you don't have something good to say, don't say anything at all. Why not praise what you have and forget the bashing. If you have a issue go straight to the person or company and give them your opinion. They are the only ones that can do something about it. We all have choices that we can make and we don't have to stoop to the level that others want us to get down to. Do we? I was once told that airing out your dirty laundry only lets others know how bad you smell.

I test shot the PSE Nitro just before I went to the AMO Show. Compared to other speed bows I've shot, I liked it. I especially like the new finish process that they have on the 2002 PSEs. I also shot the new PSE Enforcer and liked it better for shooting over the Nitro. It was a slower but smoother and, to me, a little more like the style of bow that I like to shoot. I'd say it was Vortec class as far as smoothness and forgiveness.
