Quick Question- 2008 BowTech Commander
Cables cross under the guard or above?
I've only seen one other in-person besides mine , and cannot recall. TIA J |
On my 07's I have them crossing under.
|
Thanx Bruce-I reckon the different cam on the 08s doesn't make much of a difference. (?)

If you are still looking for a rock solid answer on this Jeff, pm me tonight... I will have access to one.

Just from the pics I have seen on ebay....looks like under though.:s4:

Pull the cable slide of and see where they cross "naturally". On my 3 different BT's they all cross under, pretty much right in the middle area between limbs/cams, right behind the shelf. It makes sense to me that, at least in the binary cam system that the cable crossing would be "balanced"(in the middle) too.

I figured it was under, but they naturally cross slightly under the cable guard rod- I figured I could get away with either, but for some reason with them crossed above, it seems to "lock up" a bit more solidly at full draw- the difference is slight but there-most likely a synch issue.
Thank You both! |
So, how is it?
How is the "commie" shooting for ya?:s1:

I've shot it all this week and most of last week and I'm undecided. the bow feels great at the shot and is beyond quiet. It is ultra forgiving if you goof up with that big brace height (i.e. it won't throw an arrow too far off the mark), but for some reason I juts cannot stack arrows as tight with it as I can Bow X and even bow Y. Despite the weight and length, it's a bit "floaty" on target for me. I'm going to try adjusting the draw stop for a bit less letoff and see what happens next week. |
