The perfect arrow
 

I need some help. I`m trying to find the perfect arrow for my setup.My bow is very hard to handle, but im good with it.Iwould like to up grade to a mathews,but I`am not a wealthy man.And I have not broken it yet.My question is being left handed,right or left hetical? What degree? 3 or 4inch vanes? 3 or 4 vanes per arrow ? Plastic or fleather? I like to be as accurate as possable. but on a buget.I cant aford $100 or more for a doz arrows.Ive ask alot of shop pro`s but got differnt answers.

arrow length 28inch W/ speed nocks
Gold tip carbon hunter
rocket slammer head 3 blade expandable 90grs
4inch straight 3 plastic vanes

trap door fall away rest
toxonics sniper sight (pendulum & Fix pins)
Tru-Fire release
vibracheck stabilizer

I would shoot Gold Tip 7595 Xt' s with 4 or 5 inch offset/Helical feathers. Left or right. does not matter.

I agree w/ Rack-attack....the 75/95 Goldtips at 28" would work great....

So at 40 ft. do you use a safety harness or a parachute???:)

I too agree with what has already been posted, the 7595 XT would surely suit your needs. Now i have a couple of questions, 40ft[:o] do you carry an oxygen mask and some kleenex for nose bleed?:D man that' s a lot higher than i want to be. Looks like you' d have a pretty wicked shot angle at that height. Hope your wearing a full body harnest up there.

I agree with the 7595' s also. A short bow with hard cams at that draw weight will need a very stiff shaft.

Good lord! At 40 feet up, the ground is out of range. :D I' d be too busy holding on to even think about shooting a bow. :D Steep angled shots make it really hard to get both lungs. I hardly ever go above 20 feet.

Thanks for input.Ill try them. but left or right heilical,plastic or fleather or what degree does not matter for trying to get a some what perfect flight?
And about the 40ft.Its 40 foot not yards.One of my favorite trees is in a creek bottm with ridges on both sides.I have to get that high.Besides that I stink.
Of coures I use asafty strap.I`m not stupid just a hunter.Hey Rack-attack you don`t have tall trees in NY or have they all been cut down.

In that situation, I can understand going that high. I' m a flatlander so 40 feet up is way up there to me. :) The most important thing is shot angle. As long as you' re not shooting a really steep downward angle, you can get both lungs.

Since you are shooting a fallaway, you can put plenty of helical on your fletchings. I think the max is usually 8 degrees and anything near that will work just fine. The degree of helical/offset isn' t as important as getting a correctly spined shaft. I prefer 4" feathers, but good vanes work also.

You have already got good info on wehich arrows but what I want to know why so dang high!?!? Good Grief 40 feet is at the topof the tree darn near!!!
I bet you dont hit mutch that high up!
15 feet is plentyman!![:o]
