What do arrow wraps do for the arrow?

Are they just for looks or do they serve a function. If they have a function, is there a noticeable difference?

Looks only.

Well, unless you consider better vane adhesion an advantage.

and makes the arrow easier to find after the shot, but has no real funtional affect to the arrow.

I don't like to use them, they also will conceal a cracked arrow.

Cosmetic look.

Never thought about the cracked arrow thing. Good point.

It must be money

Cause it has a lot more material, than the vanes I just use.

they also slightly reduce foc.

They help a slighty weak spined arrow become more suitable, but most are using only for looks. They do slow the arrow a couple fps and make the arrow louder. I don't like wraps but I do dip mine for visual and spine purposes.

They also allow you to see the color of the blood much better too. I like them for the simple fact I can find the arrow more easily. Plus you get to customize your arrow a little more.
