arrows kicking and peep not lined up?

Well I cranked the poundage down and now it sounds like the bow got louder. This is a sngle cam bow. I want to put the poundage back where it was but my marks are gone. Do I just turn the limb bolts clockwise until they stop and then back it off 1 full turn?Do I keep both the same? I remember hearing about having them set at different turns.
