Spine Charts and Brace Height
Do you guys and galls notice a need for a stiffer spine for a lower brace height bow say you are shooting the same arrow from a bow with 6" s of brace height as opposed to a bow with 8" s of brace height and if so why dont they mention it on the spine charts .

RE: Spine Charts and Brace Height
They don' t mention it because some people will say they need stiffer spine and some people won' t. There are so many different ways bows are set up these days that there is no way to account for all the variables in the charts. So, the charts are STILL nothing more than a rough, best educated guess estimate of what size arrow will work for you.

What about using the archery program? I purchased it not long ago and was wondering how accurate it was.

RE: Spine Charts and Brace Height
There are some charts that ask you to look at the ibo speeds of a bow and point weights. These are a bit closer to what you are asking and those charts are very close.
As for the programs.I am a huge fan of Archers Advantage.I don' t how accurate tap is but Archers Advantage is very accurate. |

BuckSkin-
TAP provides by far a more technically accurate way to match arrows to a bow over ANY spine chart. I will even go as far as saying it will take you to the next level of archery through proper shaft selection. I get emails everyday thanking me for this tool because of how easy it was to select the right arrow and get tuned so quickly. Charts will get you most likley into the right shaft......TAP tells you how long to cut them to the 1/10th inch and what point weight to use to the grain! |
