cam timing and nockpoint
double question !
I'm retuning my airborne 82nd because of a feeling the bow was out of tune. My cams weren't synchronised and that problem was taking care of at the proshop. when I compare the dots on my cams there is 1mm difference between top and bottom cam. is this acceptable or should I try and correct it more. How do I do this, by cranking one of the limbscrews ? I always have shot my QAD with a slightly high nockpoint, in Greg's thread he mentions his bowtechs that a level nockpoint works better. Any suggestions ? Frank |
RE: cam timing and nockpoint
The timing dots would be corrected by twisting/untwisting cables not with your limb bolts. They should be dead even if the cams are set correctly. I would get the cams even and then tie-in the nock point. The Bowtech binaries should tune best with level nockpoints.

RE: cam timing and nockpoint
I installed my nockpoint about 4mm high and it works perfect with my QAD rest.
the difference between the dots on my cams is less than 1mm and I don't have a bowpress to correct this at the moment. I shot about 30 arrows and they all flew where I told them to go. So I'm happy, ready for my short metric tournament next week. thx Kevin |
