How high to start the nocking point
 

How high do most of you place your nocking point. I shoot a caliper release, truturn nocks and string loop and 2315' s. Because of the expense, I have now forgone the proshop tuneup and am doing this myself. When I shot with fingers years ago I would place it about 3/8 inch above square. What do ya' ll think would be a good starting point. (The string has broken so I cant tell from the old one). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.:)

With the glue-on nocks I use on my 2315' s, setting my nock at 5/16" puts my arrow just a tiny bit over square. That' s where I' d start for a release. For fingers, I bump it up to 3/8" , then I do my tuning adjustments from there.

Just never go below square. If you have to do that to get good arrow flight, then your tiller is out of whack and needs to be reset.

I shoot my bows with a mechanical release and start allways with a close to square setup. If the arrow make a nice paper tear its ok for me to go fine tune it. Shooting groups at 60 yards tell me more than every other tuning method.
