I use Loctite Gel, after years of trying almost everything else on the market. Had good luck with others, just like to spend less for a great product. This is on the vanes or feathers only, and with wraps. On inserts I use 24 hour epoxy.

all super(or crazy) glues (cynoacrolates) last up to 5 times longer if kept closed and in the fridge. just let it warm up to room temp before use. acetone should leave no residue IF U USE A CLEAN CLOTH! i have also found that the loctite brand works a charm on fletches. never tried it on inserts tho. for inserts i use a product called Alcolin Rapid Epoxy. sets in ten minutes and does not go brittle(or let go) ever. even in extreme cold. just dont try heating up a aluminum shaft to get a insert out. over 160 degrees centigrade it will start expanding and bulge or split the shaft before it will let go.

I am sure glad I re-read that. I was just about ready to report you to the Humane Society. I thought it said " I use super glue on my cat's ass"
