new drop away
I have a pse dream season and a qad hunter fall away rest. This res is to low and my arrows hit the rest. I am looking to get a new rest, now i have looked at the g5 fall away becuase it moves out of the way and it is quiet. But this rest does not capture the arrow. then i looked at the tropy taker that captures the arrow. But it is a little loud. Now i would like to no what u guys think about all these rest and which one would u all pick and y?

RE: new drop away
I'd get somebody to install the QAD properly.

RE: new drop away
I dont know about those rest but i will tell you that my rest i love. Its the limbdriver. If you mean by captures the arrow as arrow containment then dont bother looking at this rest. But if you mean something else check into it. Its a nice drop away rest.

RE: new drop away
My qad is just to slow. My bow shots so fast that it dont have time to move. I have had 5 people install it and it still does it

No matter what you buy, if your techdoesn't know how to use it or set it up then it won't work. |
RE: new drop away
dude id love to see ur bow shooting 370 becuase i doudt it. Id say maybe 270. if it was shooitng that fast it would be faster then the oman and i no it aint that fast and its on right just to slow

RE: new drop away
the new limbdriver which is a great rest has a new prong section with arrow holders its worth a look it really is a nice rest

RE: new drop away
While the QAD is a good rest it has timing issues more times than it should and can be a PIA to install.
IMHO there is not an easier, more effecient working dropaway rest than the Limb Driver. I've had 3 on countless models of Bows, and hunted with one for going on 3 years. I have yet to experience any kind of an issue;) Dan |
RE: new drop away
thank u and im goin to try the limb drive one. but i do like how quiet the g5 is

RE: new drop away
I shot a 5 grain per intch arrow and i doubt it. I have shot the monster with a 5 grain per inch arrow and it still did not shot that fast. So id have to see it to believe it

RE: new drop away
I've seen speeds in the 360s with the HCA arrows years ago (80 pound bow, roughly 3 grains per pound), so I don't see why 370 would be out of the question. IMO, it's a disaster waiting to happen, but thats a different thread.
I'd say a modern bow like the Monster or 82nd would shoot well into the 370s and higher with those arrows. And I think you are confusing GPI, with GPP. |

RE: new drop away
the last time i seen a hca shot a arrow that was 3 grains per intch, the bow exploded. U do not shot a arrow that light unless u are dumb and yea if i shot a arrow that light and with my bow and i can get it that fast but that bow would probly explode and be real loud

RE: new drop away
If you want that QAD rest to drop out of the way faster, move the point where the cord is attachedlower onthe "Downward Cable". They are good rests once you get them setup correctly.

RE: new drop away

I dont even know if they make a 3 gpi arrow but there might be one out there somewhere. |
RE: new drop away
I just had a vertical drop away by trophy ridgeput on my bowtech. Although I have only shot a few arrows threw it it appears to be a nice arrow rest. It has a foam arrow guide to help hold it until you draw it and is made with a lot of tefflon to keep it quite.. It appears to be a good rest IMO.. I also have it attached to my slider and not the cables.. It works great for me..:)
