I personally switched to the Carter " One Shot" for a hunting release........from a Scott Rhino, and IMO the Carter is the finest wrist style/trigger release on the market.
I really liked my Rhino, but after about 3 shots with the Carter I had one of those rare " WOW" experiences. Much easier to shoot using back tension with its double sear design.......absolutely tops for a crisp release.
Also the release is easily adjustable to fit ,what seems like, ANY hand size.......I can take it off my wrist and in a few seconds have it adjusted to fit another person perfectly as well. You can literally " fine tune" the head position to exactly where you need it.
Also the relationship of the trigger to the jaw, and the actual width of that jaw allowing you to use a VERY short string loop make it possible to attain almost the same anchor point as you would shooting a conventional caliper release directly off the string.........virtually no sacrificing draw length to gain the forgiveness and ease of use that a string loop provides. (The rhino also benefits from this design, but isn' t as customizable as the Carter)
Awesome release.........EXPENSIVE:D but worth every penny to me.

As far as the trigger thing?..........just start migrating your finger to the trigger as soon as you hit full draw. I would think you have a little bit of time until you settle on the target after you hit full draw. I don' t know of anyone who is radar locked the second that they hit full draw. Just don' t AIM and then move your finger..........move your finger at the same time you are initiating the aiming sequence. You should be able to time this so that your finger settles at the same time as the pin. And yes you are correct that this sort of thing is an indicator to Target Panic. Feeling a time constraint while aiming is a bad thing.
