? for the pro shop guys

I have a 70# PSE thunderbolt with the maxis HL one cam. The year before the lightning cam came out. I want to get this bow back into shooting shape for a back up bow. I would like to make it a two cam bow. Do I need new limbs to make it a two cam bow with the maxis cams and keep it at 70#.

Thanks for your help.

You would be better off leaving it like it is for you are looking at a substancial amount of money to change everything around not to mention the can of worms you may be opening.
I dont see why you would want to make any changes anyway that model is a very good shooting bow!

It' s all apart right now. It was shooting like crap and I took it apart and the upper axel is bent. I don' t know if someone dry fored it when I wasn' t around or what happend to it. Any way it' s not going to be shooting like it is. If it isn' t cost effective to do that then I' ll just get a new axel for the idler wheel and have it checked out to make sure the limbs are still ok.

if the bow is a 60-70 pound bow, you shouldn' t have too much of a problem getting it back down to 70 after new cams. you might have to back the limbs out and go with longer cables.

what cams were you looking at getting?

Was thinking about replacing the single maxis HL cam with dual maxis cams or maybe the lightning 3 single cam.

with the single cam it probably would shoot just fine, just new strings and cables and you' d be done.
