Easton Axis fletching?
 

Can these small diameter arrows be fletched with 4in right helical feathers? Also if so how would they work out of a Hostage Pro rest?

Luke, I have never tried to fletch any of those like that but I would reckon that if it can be done it may prove to be difficult. I do know from experience that feathers do not hold up well if they go through the bristles of a WB. With the hostage, if you could get thefeathers to go through the rest without touching the bristles it would most likely be okay. Don't get me wrong, I am not trying to talk you out of using feathers because thats all I will use.

I put a hard helical on small shafts all the time,not a problem when using a Bitzenburger.I just adjust the jig untill the base of the feathers are centered front and back with my helical clamp.

You will most likely have some contact issues with the bristles though with a small diameter shaft and helical feathers.

T-FOX, I guess it's time for me to get one of those. With mine, I have a difficult time with shafts larger than that. I have a JO JAN. Had the thing since back in the 80's. It does okay with the larger shafts. I have been wondering for a while now if I could get a different clamp.

I fletch Easton FMJ 340's with three 5" feathers right helical. No problem. I do use a drop away rest, however.

By the looks of it if I go with these arrows I will probably get another drop away. Any suggestions on which rest for a Guardian?
