New LX

I got to shoot Mathews new LX over the weekend. I couldn' t believe how smooth the bow was. There was absolutely no handshock when shooting. It' s the quietest bow that I' ve ever shot without any add-ons attached to it. We just threw some basic parts on it and went upstairs to give it a test. There was nothing on the string but a brass nock, and the riser only had a simple TM rest with a Copper John sight thrown on.

Has anybody else had a chance to check out the LX? If so, I' d like to hear any other comments. Anybody have any negative opinions on it? (Other than the fact that its a Mathews...I know there are lots of Bowtechies and Hoyts on the forum:D)

RE: New LX

I recently bought the Mathews Legacy instead of the LX. Personal preference. The LX' s cam seemed a little more radical than the Legacy. I know the LX is faster but I couldn' t tell. I believe the either is a hell of a bow. Hope this helps.:)
Almost forgot...The Legacy seemed quieter than the LX. Both my buddy and I seemed to think so. Don' t really know why. Maybe it was just that bow. Who knows.

Yeah, the LX does have a more radical cam. With the 85% let-off, you really have to watch out if you let down. The first time I let off after drawing, it pulled my arm forward a little faster than I like to let the bow up.

I love mine....I got rid of my Legacy for the LX....Thought I would regret it..But the more I shoot the LX the more I like it....I have seen that with the shorter brace height it can be a little touchy compared to the Legacy...But it is a blast to shoot..

I agree with these guys, love my LX. Had a Legacy, which was a great bow as well, nothing wrong with it at all, just wanted to get the latest bow from Mathews. I questioned my decision early on, but after shooting it a bit decided I made the right decision. Won' t look back.

I LOVE my new LX! This is the first time I' ve looked forward to going to the range. Alot of people are hooked on the speed of their bows, and I say " Who cares" ! My LX is shooting 297 fps, and that' s fast enough for me to kill a deer or win a competition, and it does it with " Bad to the Bone" Smooth! kotklegg:D:)[8D];)[:-]
