What would you guys recomend. I have a spot hogg with wrapped pins.. they are very bright, but I messed up when I bought into thinking that .019s are more accurate... I have been shooting a lot of indoor lately and I'm having a hard time seeing the thing.... and I have perfect eye sight. I feel more confident shooting with a little bit larger pin too. I'm suprised spot hogg hasn't started making staggered size pins.. I bet they would if you asked. |

Funny you say that Swamp... :D
They will. ;)I've got four Spot Hogg Hunter Hogg-Its, and all of them have a .29 green top pin followed by alternating yellow and green .19 pins... For me, the .19s are plenty adequate to see yet don't cover up too much of my target at 30, 40 and 50 yards... The .29 is awesome for when the target (deer, usually...) is within 20 yards and much larger-looking. I get the added benefit that at VERY last light, that big .29 green pin is the last thing visible... |
RE: .019-.029 SIGHT PINS
I have essentially done the .019 change over myself. The .019 pins are too dim for low light shots (IMHO) so I keep my 20, 30 and 40 pins as .029. My 50 and 60 pins are .019.

I was thinking about getting a hooter shooter to play around with.... if you want some sticker shock.... ask how much they run... I don't make that much in two months. |

RE: .019-.029 SIGHT PINS
.019 are as big as I prefer to go especially for target or 3D. The .029's cover up too much target area imho. Many of the new sights accept a light which makes the smaller pins ideal. A multi-intensity rheostat light like the G5 creates perfect pins in any light level without covering up all of the targest area. Even the .010's are plenty bright with the light. .02.
