admiral question

I shot (actually bought) a admiral today.I was alittle suprised tha it wasnt any queiter than my 07 gaurdian-it might be just a little louder. It seemed thay the noise was coming from the string suppresser, does any body know if there is a noise dampner (like the mean v) or maybe does mean v make a replacement suppresser---Dan?maybe a softer pad? other than that the bow seemed to shoot very nice!

RE: admiral question

I don't know how quiet the Guardian is or isn't but my admiral is deathly quiet. Def the quietest of all the "hot" bows for 2009- I've shot them all over the past month and a half.

You may want to make sure the brace height/cam timing/synch and other measurements are correct.

RE: admiral question

If you're "handy" and have tools to work with you can replace the rubber with a Simms Limb Saver or similar material. I also believe the factory rubber is a little hard and could be improved on. That said, my Admiral is very quiet. Can't say for sure that it's not as quiet as my Guardians but quiet enough that I didn't feel the need to change anything before hunting with it. Spring is right around the corner though and it's about time for some playin':D
