Sights, specifically Sword

Good looking and well regarded but how heavy are they compared to other sights? No info. on Sword's website as to weight, and they look to be heavier than some?

Good question. I will most likely be putting a 3rd plane on my bow as my next sight. People compare the build to that of the Spott-Hogg, but who knows. I'm looking forward to hearing the answer to it.

The twilight hunter is pretty light but the Apex 3rd plane is a little heavier, but neither are really heavy.

Heavy is all in the eyes of the beholder;)

I like mine, and it has more durable fibers than most. The pins aren't the brightest, but I don't have a sight-light on it either. I never noticed it feeling heavy at all, and I think it's a more solid sight than most I've looked and and used.

I have an illuminated Sword with .019" pins. It is extremely bright even with the small diam. fiber pins. My advice.. cut all the fibers except the 20 yd pin fiber. If you don't and you try to shoot in a minimum light environment it will look like a stop light on your bow- too many lights/ reduced background visibility. Besides, if it is that dark to need illuminated pins you won't see further than 20 yds anyway.

As far as weight.. it is a little heavy but extends further out and away from the riser which has a stabilizing effect.
