How important is string length?

The reason I ask is because I received my WC string and cable the other day and the string I ordered was 90.25 inches. The one that I received was 90.125 inches(according to the lablel, I didn' t measue it). I figured .125 inches is nothing compared to the way strings stretch. What is the tolerance for a bow requiring a 90.25 inch string? Is within 1 inch or so close enough?

RE: How important is string length?

Jeff,

You' re not likely to notice the 1/8" very easily. It will make your draw length slightly shorter. If you do feel it and don' t like it, and your single cam has a few string posts, you can always move the string out one post and then twist to get exact length.

Added note: Your string may creep a bit after a couple hundred shots, but then again WC strings are known to not move much.
