Bowtech String Help

I was just looking at my bow and noticed the serving is seperating on both ends. Does anyone know if this needs to be reserved or is it okay to shoot like this? Here are the pics. Hope they post.

Well, I give up for now. Have done all I can think of and unable to get pics sent. I am sure I am doing something wrong.

Are you uploading your pics to a picture hosting site like Photobucket (www.photobucket.com) ?

if you are doing that, then you just need to find out what the direct URL/link is to each picture, hit the little yellow thing that looks like a postcard (far right) in your "reply to message" window here and enter the URL/link.

If you want you can email them to me and I can post them for you. my email is jeffbinny at yahoo dot com

Thanks Jeff. I sent Dan (Meanv) an email with the pics and got advice. I don't want to take any chances with this so I am going to take it to the shop whenever I can get there. Really need to give my shoulder a little time to heal up (If it's going to) anyway. I don't know why I am having trouble with pics. I have posted some before but it's been about a year. I guess I need to keep working at it. I am sure I will want to post some more soon.

Thanks

Ed

You'll need to re-size your pics to 640X480 to post them.

Ed, Like I said that separation is not dangerous and you could go ahead andshoot, but just keep an eye on the serving and make sure it does not get cut and lead to other damage.

Best to play it safe and get it reserved at your earliest convenience.;)

RE: Bowtech String Help

Dan, the serving is seperated more than it looks in the pics. I called the shop guy and he said he can only reserve the middle part, which does me no good. The only string that he said he could get other than Bowtech is winners choice. I have thought this over and I believe I am just going to purchase a bow press and start doing my own work. That shop is over an hours drive away. If I were to add up all the money I have spent running to pro shops the last few years I could have already paid for a press. Besides, it's time for me to be a big bow now:DI may have to read "Bow Press 101" but I believe I can do it.

Walks with, I have gotten the resizing done. Also have tried the photobucket thing that Jeff was talking about and still no luck. I won't let it get the best of me, I will figure it out.

Thanks

Ed

Ed, Bow maintenance and repair is really not that hard. Best advice is to get a quality yet easy to use Bow Press that will cause you No problems.

You'll be money ahead in the long run.;)
