Default Measuring a bows draw length?

Standard AMO method is deepest part of nock to pivot pt. of grip (rear of berger hole lines up on a lot of bows) plus 1 3/4". Is this the best way? Plus, if I change the one piece grip on my 06 Allegiance to a two piece grip will I be lengthening the draw length some. I realize the powerstroke won't change but the way the bow fits me will. It's probably not enough to worry about but I'd sorta like to know because if I do have to change my mods to a shorter DLmy power stroke will change.

Thanks!,

Dan

Changing the grip will lengthen or shorten your DL.The thickness of the grip will shorten or lengthen your DL a little.Your hand is now closer to the riser elbow and your hand position maychange. The 2-pieceshould lengthen it a small amount. Maybe not enough to even worry about. However, I'd take your 1-piece off and draw the bowto get an idea of what the change will be like. You can also measure the DL with the grip on and off to see the difference.

My friend did that with his Matthews and they have pretty thick grips. It made a big difference in how the bow felt.
