stabilizer for 08 Black Ice
Is it safe to say I could stick any stabilizer on my bow or would you have any recommendations for this particular model? What about string surpressors also?

RE: stabilizer for 08 Black Ice
Not aware of any reason you can't throw most any stabilizers on there. (I recommend a b-stinger). As far as suppressors -- Duravane string tamer works well on my Marquis

RE: stabilizer for 08 Black Ice
For these single cam bows you do not need much but I do notice it kick up a little from the shot without much weight so I will probably be getting a FUSE Axium or Connextion pretty soon but yeah, I've been wondering the same thing myself. Considering the Octane stab it looks nice and the idea behind it sounds goodbut I think it is a little on the light side and I am not so sure that I would be able to get used to the whole "piston" effect.

If you want a stab with weight -- you really need to look into a b-stinger. IMO there isn't anything in a 12 inch class that works better. Most other stabs(ie Posten), are better looking and can be adjusted more, but they just didn't hold as steady for me.

For a string suppressor check out the MeanV's which I make. The new Maximum model is now available in a few colors. As far as stabilizers my favorites are.
1. Octane 2. Doinker 3. Vibra Check 4. Stealth Dan |

Here's a pic of a MeanV in HD Hardwoods, and one in HD Green.

RE: stabilizer for 08 Black Ice
Throw another vote in for Dan's stabilizer.
After that I would suggest the Octane's shortest model as well as the little, inexpensive Sims model. One of things I like about the Black Ice is its balance and overall lightweight. These stabilizers don't compromise either of those characteristics while still allowing for noise and vibration reduction. |
