RE: JeffB...Just For You...ATA Measurement Effects on Draw Weight
With your poundage lowered as you have it,the spine is within spec so I wouldn't worry about it,your broadheads should be telling you that.
Inserts are roughly 1" in length, some shorter and some longer,I believe the ACC inserts are slightly shorter. Did you use hotmelt to install the inserts? That is the preferred method for installing ACC inserts. If so,then you should be able to heat a field tip with it installed and remove the inserts and then cut, then reinstall. |

Left of field point with broadheads is a stiff reaction, not weak.
Check your poundage and actuall speed. Might still need a little rest adjustment. |

Correct,my bad.
I should have thought of that since I have a left handed shooter in my house. If possible, remove the inserts and get ALL the arrows cut to 27" or so.This will give a more consistant reading with all your arrows. You just bottomed out your bow and was getting a weak reaction so you turned down the poundage, correct? So you don't really KNOW for sure how much poundage you are shooting. My ASSUMPTION is that you were bottoming out slightly above 60#,maybe 62# and now you are really closer 60# than 58#. |
