Arrow Rest Problems
 

Its the off season and I'm thinking about changing to a new arrow rest. I currently have a standard 2-prong rest on my Hoyt. This year I had a lot of problems with my arrow falling off of the rest when I pulled back. It actually costs me a pretty nice buck. Therefore I'm looking for a change. Any suggestions? I'm thinking about a muzzy zero effect...thoughts?

I dont have any experience with the muzzy ZE, though almost everyone I talked to really like theirs. I had the same problem with a two prong, so I switched to a bodoodle rest. I dont have any problems at all with it. It sort of cradles your arrow through the draw. Its also about 50 bucks cheaper then the muzzy.

Go to your pro shop and try a few to see what you like would be the best thing to do.

You don't say whether you use a release or not but assuming that you do I would check the adjustment of the prongs. You may need to open them up a little bit, or check that they are rotated/positioned both the same. You should not be having that problem.
If you shoot fingers/tab you should use a plunger type or one that securely holds the arrow in place to alow for the string rotation that occurs during the draw.

The zero effect is an excellent rest, but it is a bit pricey, but worth it! I can also recomend any of the bododdle rests, the bullet is inexspensive and works as well as their more costly rests. I picked up a whisker biscut to play around with the other day, but I can't give any feed back on it yet, just have not spent enough time with it.
