Looking for Opinions!!

RE: Looking for Opinions!!
Possible the Pro 40 that Bowtech has, you sure don' t want a short axle to axle bow.

RE: Looking for Opinions!!
A BT Pro- 40 or a Mathews Icon !

RE: Looking for Opinions!!
If I were shooting fingers i wouldn' t even glance at a bow UNDER 40" ATA with my 30" draw length
Believe it or not my first choice would be......and I' m gonna take heat for this one!;) The Hoyt Protec w/ LX Pro limbs.......46" + ATA length. Then either the Protec or the Ulratec w/ XT3000 limbs at 41" + ATA or the BowTech Pro40 " WHeely" I' m personally not wild about real agressive single cams and fingers either..... At my draw length I' d lean towards the over 40" Hoyts, but if I was under that at something like a 28" draw I would seriously consider the Pro40 Wheely as it draws very smoothly and doesn' t give up much speed. I' m sure that the over 40" ATA Merlins such as the Max2000 would be fine finger shooting bows as well.......... There are still some very good options for the finger shooter if you look around, most manufacturers have at least one model that at least somewhat caters to the finger shooter. |

Pick up the new issue of Bow and Arrow Hunting. Got mine in the mail last night and there is an article on all the best new bows for fingers.

RE: Looking for Opinions!!
Hoyt Protec, Bowtech Pro 40, or the Mathews Icon.
I think a long ATA length is important with a finger release. I use to shoot with fingers years ago. Shot pretty well. Of course the bows had round wheels, weighed a ton, and were long. |
RE: Looking for Opinions!!
BowTech Pro 40 Wheely would be a good choice with the speed of many " hard" cam bows. Try as many as you can because the " feel" of the bow will be more important to you when shooting with your fingers. Before I went to the release about 22 years ago I shot with two fingers under and didn' t have a problem with finger pinch with 40 or so inch bows. Good luck.
