RE: How many turns??
yeh well I will have to put on a new string this winter and I was going to possibly crank the bow back up a turn and go a bit heavier on a my arrows.. thanks Bruce...you know when i dropped the # I was thinking it would screw with my tune, but the guy at Gander Mt said no it wouldn't?

RE: How many turns??
It all depends on how much you change the poundage and how far from optimum your setup is currently whether it will affect your tune or not. I tunemy setup initially by adjusting the poundage and not the rest so any 2-3lb change would have some effect. It would be most notable when bareshafting.
Anyway, since you are doing a string/cable change then re-tuning is happening anyway. Just so you know, just because you go to a heavier arrow does not necessarily mean you need to up the poundage. I typically will setup my arrow for the midrange, 65#'s, and then, like I mentioned earlier, adjust the poundage to tune things up. My current deer hunting rig is 67#'s.

good stuff guys...I may not even change a thing other than the string...My bow is set 71# and is shooting a 362 gr arrow @ 280 fps and so far I have taken 5 deer with this set up....but I will keep it all in mind...I know I shoot a light arrow, but if i want to get 280 fps at 26.5" draw i have tooo!!!
